PMSA
Pacific Marine Science Alliance
PMSA is a collaborative society and registered not-for-profit organization of five leading western Canadian universities (UBC, UVic, SFU, UCalgary, and UofA). We are dedicated to advancing marine science research, education, and innovation both nationally and internationally. Our work supports the protection of ocean and coastal ecosystems, providing groundbreaking scientific insights to address today’s critical environmental challenges, as well as training the next generation of marine scientists.
Our marine station is the Bamfield Marine Science Centre. BMSC is a world-class research and teaching facility located on west coast of Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, situated in the traditional territory of the Huu-ay-aht First Nations, a Nuu-chah-nulth Nation and member of the Maa-nulth Treaty Society.
