The Marine Sciences and Limnology Institute visión is to cultivate interdisciplinary areas of research to allow an integral understanding of aquatic resources, both locally and globally. Our databases are design to integrate and share the information (based in our investigations) to the national and international scientific community.

The Marine Sciences and Limnology Institute mission is to develop original research, human resources training and popularisation of Marine Sciences and Limnology.
Our investigation contributes to create basic knowledge and thereby supporting society in efforts of conservation, restoration of aquatic ecosystems and the integral management of its resources.
